About being a library user
As a library user at LollandBibliotekerne, you:
- Can freely borrow books, music, movies, games and more from the library.
- Gain access to our digital services, where you can read magasines, read or listen to books, watch movies, learn languages and much more online.
- Gain access to borrowing books and materials from libraries all over Denmark.
Being a library user is free of charge and everyone can become one, as long as they are part of the danish CPR*-number system. To use our digital services you must live in the Municipality of Lolland (Lolland Kommune).
*CPR (Danish Civil Registration / Det Centrale Personregister). If you don't have a CPR-number, you can read more bout it here or contact your local municipality.
How to become a library user (adults)
To become a library user, you can either go to one of our libraries during staffed hours, or you can use MitID to register yourself as a user online anytime.
During staffed hours
If you want to have our staff help you register as a library user, it is important that you bring identification with your CPR-number on it. The most common identification used is the yellow health card - however a danish drivers license or a passport are also valid identifications, as long as they have your CPR-number on them.
See our staffed hours (betjening) below:
Nakskov Library.
Maribo Library.
Rødbyhavn Library.
Please note that you as a library user have access to the libraries all week days from 7 am to 22 pm. To get in during unstaffed hours, you simply need to scan your yellow health card at the entrance (or type in your CPR-number manually) and type in your chosen 4-digit pin code.
Online using MitID
If you have MitID, you can become a library user right here from your browser. Just follow the link below.
How to become a library user (children under 18)
If you are under 18 years of age, you need a filled out consent form from a parent or legal guardian to become a library user.
Consent can be given online via MitID here or by using the link further down. Fill out the required information, create a 4-digit pin code and you are good to go. The child can use their CPR-number and pin code to access our online ressources, reserve books as well as borrow book.
The online registration is only in danish - however in the document below, you can find an english translation of the registration form.
Children can also get their own dedicated library card as an alternative to using the yellow health card or the CPR-number. Just ask our library staff during staffed hours.
Not digital?
If you want to give consent another way than with MitID, you need to adress the library staff during staffed hours. There you can get a physical consent form, which needs to be filled out and given to the library staff. You can also download the consent form to print it out and fill it out from home.
It is important that you bring your and your childs yellow health card, as we need them to complete the registration.
If you have any questions, you are always welcome to call us during week days between 10 am and 17 pm on +45 54677500.
